Paper Template



Manuscript Submission & Charges 

Journal does not charge authors outside the country for submission of manuscript. However, the papers that are submitted by Iranian authors should pay 7.2 million Rials if the paper is accepted for publication. JCAS is an open access journal.  Accordingly, readers are allowed to copy, use, distribute, transmit and display the work publicly and to make and distribute derivative works, in any digital medium for any responsible purpose, subject to proper attribution of authorship. Manuscripts should be submitted through this website only (http://jpoll.ut.ac.ir) and Email submissions are not acceptable.

USER LICENSE AGREEMENT

JCAS provides access to archived material through the journal archives.  All articles published open access will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download. Permitted reuse is defined by Creative Commons user license called "Creative Common Attribution" (Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)).

 

Language

 

The journal's language is English. British English or American English spelling and terminology may be used. We appreciate any efforts that you make to ensure that the language is corrected before submission. This will greatly improve the legibility of your paper if English is not your first language.

Manuscript Presentation

Manuscript should contain titles such as: Abstract, Introduction, Materials & Methods, Results & Discussion, Conclusion, Akcknowledgement and finally References. No other subheadings should be given in the manuscript. Please do not number the headings. The lenght of manuscript at 1.5 line spacing should not be more 20 pages. 

Manuscripts should be typewritten with a font Times New Roman of 12 pt, leaving adequate margins on all sides to allow reviewers' remarks. Please double space all material. Number the pages consecutively with the first page containing:

Figures
All photographs, graphs and diagrams should be referred to as a 'Figure' and they should be numbered consecutively (1, 2, etc.). Multipart figures ought to be labeled with lower case letters (a, b, etc.). Please insert keys and scale bars directly in the figures. Provide a detailed legend (without abbreviations) to each figure, refer to the figure in the text and note its approximate location in the margin. Figures should be submitted in separate files. The resolution of each figure must at least be 300 dpi. jpg and tiff files are accepted. Figures that are prepared by excel should be send along with their source of data. Please avoid giving Figures as Fig.1a, Fig.1b, etc. Each Figure should stand alone.

Tables

 

Each table should be numbered consecutively (1, 2, etc.). In tables, footnotes are preferable to long explanatory material in either the heading or body of the table. Such explanatory footnotes, identified by superscript letters, should be placed immediately below the table. Please provide a caption (without abbreviations) to each table, refer to the table in the text and note its approximate location in the manuscript. The same data should not be presented simultaneously in tables and figures.

 

Review process

 The objective is to provide detailed, constructive feedback on submitted papers and publish high quality papers within a very short period of time. The target for a first reply is three months. You may be requested by the Editor to submit a revision. Please assist us in achieving our ambitious goals for short publication times by submitting a revision at your earliest convenience.

Copyright

 Authors will be asked, upon acceptance of an article, to transfer copyright of the article to the Publisher. This will ensure the widest possible dissemination of information under copyright laws.

The submitted materials may be considered for inclusion but can not be returned.

Note

Editors of the Journal reserve the right to accept, reject and edit any article in any stage, if necessary. The sole responsibility for the whole contents if the article remains only with the authors. Published papers can not be withdrawn from Journal.

  1. Please don’t write the position of authors (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Student, Director, Manager, etc...) in the addresses.
  2. Keywords should not be selected from the main title. Keywords should be single or maximum of two words. The number of keywords should be 4 to 6.

2.2. Chemical analysis

  1. The length of Introduction part should be 1 to 1.5 pages. The Introduction part should be supported by at least 15 references from the  recent years. At the end of Introduction part clearly write the aims of study in one or two lines.
  2. The length of Material & Methods should be 1 to 1.5 pages. This part should be supported by classic references.
  3. The length of manuscript including everything (text, tables, figures, references) should not be less than 10 pages and should not be more than 25 pages. The line spacing is considered as 1.5 and the font size is 12.
  4. Review papers' length can be up to 40 pages. The number of references for a review paper should not be less than 100.  
  5. Maps should have Latitude and Longitude along with scale.
  6. Units should be in accordance with journal format. For instance mg/kg is right and mg kg-1 is wrong.
  7. Please look at the following reference. The references should be exactly in this format.

The main source of JCAS in marine environment is from oil transport (Karbassi, 2017; Karbassi & Nasrabadi, 2017)). The lithogenic portion of metals in decreasing in marine environment (Karbassi & Nasrabadi, 2017).  It is well known that toxic metals can be transported in various forms (Karbassi et al., 2017; Karbassi, 2017; Karbassi & Nasrabadi, 2017).

  1. All references given in text should be appeared in reference section too (and vice versa).
  2. We cannot publish papers with too many self-citations. The maximum number of reference from authors should not be more than 4.
  3. The number of references in manuscript should not be less than 30.
  4. While submitting the revised manuscript, all figures and tables should be placed within text in their appropriate places.
