The main purpose of the Journal of Complex Adaptive Systems (JCAS) is to provide an intellectual environment for researchers to discuss their latest findings about system engineering science and complex adaptive systems. So, the goal is to encourage the sharing of knowledge in different fields (see Aims & Scope), which will result in stronger papers in this field. Therefore, it is hoped that this publication will improve the state of the field of complex adaptive systems in a wide range of transdisciplinary topics at the international level and provide solutions for theoretical and practical issues facing this interdisciplinary and multifaceted topic. This publication can be considered and used by researchers and those interested in this field by providing a suitable platform in the presentation and development of system engineering models at the international level.

Authors are invited to submit a paper on one or more of the areas described. A sample, but not exhaustive, list of potential topics of interest includes:

  • Engineering science and complex adaptive systems
  • Relationship between complex adaptive systems and network science
  • Agent-based modeling and simulation
  • Static and dynamical behavior of systems
  • System engineering in agriculture, natural resources and environment
  • Entrepreneurial and innovative strategies in economic and social sciences systems
  • Innovation in humanities and management systems
  • Innovation processes, methods, and techniques in complex adaptive systems

Manuscripts should be submitted online at https://jcas.ut.ac.ir/ by registering and logging in to this website.
